Kentuckian
Jeff Yurkowski plays keyboards and accordion and is well known in central
Kentucky as an accomplished player. His versatility stretches from the honky
tonk piano of 'Another Empty Bottle' to the building B-3 swells
on 'Love and a .45' and the foot stompin' Cajun/zydeco accordion of "Bayou
Teche.'
Jeff is an intelligent and tasteful player and has recorded and toured with
Enigma/Capitol recording artists Velvet Elvis as well as The Jetters and
The City Slickers. He currently plays with the zydeco band, Zydecola; Lexington
alternate - country outfit The Yonders and The Deadnecks.
Jeff has a masters degree in computer science from the University of Kentucky
and is a video sound track artist whose work has been heard on PBS; he's
also a fine songwriter and has had music published by Sons and Daughters/Enigma
(BMI) and Midnight Joy Music (ASCAP). |
