Lexington, Kentucky resident Matt Presby brings over forty years of playing experience to the Deadnecks lineup. An excellent player of electric, acoustic, resonator, and classical guitars, he has recorded and toured with the original Pure Prairie League, folk giant Ian Tyson, United Artist Recording stars, Lee Riders and bluegrass songwriting legend, Larry Cordle.

A seasoned road and studio musician known for his vast knowledge and mastery of various musical styles, Matt's expressive playing ranges from subtle of the border sounds of "Sweet Roxanna" to the blistering electric roadhouse guitar of "What Was I Thinkin'?"

A Florida native, Matt began playing guitar at age 11; his earliest influences were R & B, western swing, rockabilly, and jazz. He has parlayed his love of music into a long and successful career.

Matt is also a fine songwriter, affiliated with BMI and has been a popular session player for both local and national artists. A fixture in the central Kentucky music scene, he currently plays with several Lexington bands as well as the Deadnecks.
